Named after Chicago’s renowned North Michigan Avenue, NoMI features contemporary French cuisine with a global flair, prepared with the finest and freshest ingredients. Opened in June 2000, the 120-seat Tony Chi designed restaurant is nestled on the seventh floor of Park Hyatt Chicago.  Enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and Water Tower Park; an extensive wine collection and exquisite private dining facilities.

NoMI in Chicago is among an elite group honored by Wine Spectator with a “Best of Award of Excellence” and “Award of Ultimate Distinction.” Among many other awards, our distinguished downtown Chicago restaurant was named one of the “Top 10 Power Dining Spots in the World” by Forbes and the only U.S. “Best Hotel Restaurant” in the world selected by Food & Wine magazine in 2009.

Described by Wine Spectator as "leading a streamlining of American cuisine," NoMI restaurant pays homage to time-honored French techniques blended with distinctive touches. The intrinsic flavors of each ingredient are emphasized, letting dishes emerge as their own masterpieces. Born in Dijon and raised in Lyon, France, chef Christophe David has been at the head of cuisine in Park Hyatt Chicago since 2005.  Working in fine restaurants from Paris, France and Guadalupe to Italy, his superior training and decades of experience have graced renowned Hyatt properties since 1995. David earned the prestigious award, “Chef to Watch,” from Esquire in 2007 and was a James Beard semifinalist in 2008.  Master Sommelier Fernando Beteta was featured in Wine & Spirits magazine’s “America’s Best New Sommeliers” (October 2007).

NoMI Garden
NoMI offers one of the city’s most idyllic outdoor venues - a secluded terrace overlooking North Michigan Avenue known as The Garden. This exclusive seventh floor retreat is a summertime sanctuary for those craving thirst-quenching cocktails and appetizers or a casual bite for lunch or dinner.

Enjoy executive chef Christophe David’s finely crafted menu of contemporary salads, small plates and sandwiches. 

A sampling of salad dishes include:

  • Contemporary Greek Salad, Feta, Kalamata Olive and Toasted Farro
    Buckwheat Soba Salad with Prawns, Asparagus, Kaiware, and Spicy Sesame Dressing
 Ideal for sharing are chef David’s imaginative small plates, including:
  • Laughing Bird Shrimp, Hearts of Palm, Coconut, Citrus
  • Goat Cheese Croquettas, Sauce Romesco
For out-of-the-ordinary sandwiches, guests may choose:

Also available throughout the day is an innovative selection of fresh sushi and sashimi pieces and platters, flown in daily and prepared by NoMI’s sushi chefs. The menu also features delectable cocktails and an extensive wine list.
